A New Floating Platform Has Been Added to the Dubai Fountain
If you have always loved watching the Dubai Fountain, but couldn’t get a close view, you can do that now with only Dhs20. There is a new floating platform inaugurated as the ‘Dubai Fountain Boardwalk’ and you can now walk into the lake and have an up-close look at the fountain!
All you need to know about the fountain boardwalk
We now have a floating boardwalk that is 272 m long. It is situated only 9 m away from the fountain. The water show, that goes up to 152 m, will now give you quite a thrilling experience as you can watch it so close.
You are allowed to visit the boardwalk every day from 5 pm to 11 pm. Children over 4 years are allowed to come with their guardians, but not younger than them. The cost per head is Dhs20. You can buy the tickets from the Fountain promenade, Burj Park and also from At The Top ticket counter.
You can enter the place from the Burj Parkside and come to the fountain.
The boardwalk has reduced the crowd in the rest of the fountain promenade, but they’re all queuing up to get this venue. Check out the Burj Khalifa website to book tickets online and avoid standing on long queues.

If you don’t live in Dubai and you’re going to visit the city, you must know about the Dubai fountain before figuring out the boardwalk. It is one of the top sightseeing places to turn to during the evening.
The Dubai Fountain is the tallest performing fountain in the world. It exhibits the performance with lights and sound and goes over a height of 152 m tall. The location is set on a 30 acre Burj Lake and is ever-entertaining.
You must spot the unique design that comprises of five circles of different sizes and two arcs. The water nozzles help shoots up the water to a great height. The light design includes 6,600 WET Superlights and 25 color projectors that create thousands of water designs.
There are 50 color projectors vibrantly blending a full spectrum of color with an output of 1.5 million lumens.
The fountain plays different styles of music and you can hear Edith Piaf, Michael Jackson, Elissa, Adele and Whitney Houston playing as the water expressions match the rhythm. You will also get to hear Arabic tunes varying from folk to contemporary.
More than 22,000 gallons of water goes into the air to show you this exclusive artwork.
You just don’t have the boardwalk to witness the fountain performance, but you can also hire a traditional Abra and sail on the Burj Lake. You can choose the front row seats to get the best view from the Abra and look at the fountain from another perspective.
