A big shoutout to all the Harry Potter fans out there. This December get ready to lose yourself in the world of wizardry and magic with your legendary Harry Potter movie being played as an orchestra by one of the greatest symphonies in the world.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

The Dubai Opera is all set to host an evening recreating the allurement of one of the most revered movie series in Hollywood, The Harry Potter. The first movie of the franchise, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone shall be performed by none other than the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

To make the performance surreal and an experience of a lifetime for the audience, the movie scenes shall be shown on a 40-foot screen on stage in high definition. All this while the symphony shall engage in performing John Williams extraordinaire score.

This concert happens to be the second in line after a similar performance was given in Abu Dhabi by the same orchestra company in September. As the response received was beyond expectations with nearly 6000 spectators, it was decided to host similar events across various cities of the region.

Concert Timings, tickets, and other guidelines

The shows shall be presented from December 7-9 at Dubai Opera. There shall be one show on Thursday at 8pm, two shows on Friday at 3pm and 8pm and one on Saturday at 3pm. Ticket sale started from October 11 on Dubai Opera’s website in addition to Virgin Megastores. With the motive of achieving maximum viewership, the tickets have been priced starting from Dhs 175 onwards.

The show is expected to run for approximately two hours and thirty minutes with an interval of twenty minutes. Patrons are advised to reach the spot prior in time to avoid any sort of hassle. The facilities of valet parking and paid parking are also offered by the Opera center to make it convenient for the audience.
