celebrate Eid in the UAE

Eid Al Fitr is a festival of breaking the Fast where Muslims are required to fast for a whole month.  Eid means “Festival” and Al Fitr means “of breaking the fast”. Our Muslim brothers and sisters wish each other Eid Mubarak after performing the Eid Prayer.

In the UAE they are used to prepare a big celebration for Eid all over the Emirates. Some Emiratis travel outside the country and others choose to prepare bountiful gatherings for their families and other relatives. As social distancing has been observed and implemented, this year there might be a little difference in celebrating the occasion due to the current situation.

This coming Eid long-week celebration in the UAE we have some guidance on how we can celebrate the occasion without violating the rules of social distancing and celebrating in the safest ways as possible.

Here’s how:

Home Celebration

Staying and celebrating the Eid at home with your family is the most effective and safest way. Prepare simple and small gathering at home with your family members and Ask for Allah’s blessings of good health, love, and peace throughout the year.

Fine Dining Hoping in Dubai

After a long month of Fasting, you deserve something that will make your tummy happy. Dubai is known for fancy restaurants that offer a wide variety of foods and drinks that will surely satisfy your food cravings. Saffron at Atlantis the Palm, The Hamptons at Jumeirah Island, La Petite Maison in DIFC to name the few of the best.

 Visit other Emirates

Since there is a long weekend if you’re Dubai, visiting other Emirates is not a bad idea. Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Abu Dhabi are on the top list of beautiful hotels and resorts in the UAE.  But we should always practice social distancing. Maximum of 3 people inside the car, always wear your mask on and avoid going in crowded places.

Helping Others

Eid is a celebration where we are thankful for all the blessings that Allah has given us. If you are fortunate to give back to the needy especially in this trying time is showing the true meaning of Eid.

 Taking time to Reflect

Eid is the best time for reflecting, focus on your blessings, and what is important. Be Thankful for your good health, your job, and your loved ones.
